Flexynets at Territories and energy efficiency workshop

The workshop Territories and energy efficiency took place the 16th of June in Iseo (Brescia, Italy). It was organized by Cogeme Spa, a company specialized in low temperature district heating networks.

The workshop had the objective of analyzing the principal aspects of low temperature district heating and cooling networks in the context of the current energetic scenario. Low temperature DHC networks combine the use of renewable energies and the recovery of waste heat.

The creation of small territorial DHC networks could represent the conjunction between the energetic rationalization of the actual building stock, the necessity of build with near-zero energy and the correct urban planification, in order to provide tangible opportunities for the local communities.

The workshop was divided into two parts: the first dedicated to European excellences and local experiences, while the second part was a round table focused on the energetic planification and innovation.

Roberto Fedrizzi, coordinator of Flexynets presentation was entitled “Heating smart grid: European excellences and Horizon 2020 projects”.

Other speaker were the CEOs of local companies involved in DHC network development (LGH Spa and ASO Siderurgica Spa), Carlo Scarpa of the University of Brescia and Wolfram Sparber, President of the board of directors of Alperia Spa.
